Hi I'm James, SXSW delegate for two years in a row and soon to be three. I am posthing this blog purely for SXSW issues, if you want to hear my other random thoughts track me down sometime I will give you a bail full but right now this blog is about music and the music business and as many of you know I got to SXSW for the business. so I offer some thuoghts on business and links that you may find intersting and such and this will allow me to post a few things that anyone can see.
So first first lets talk current news, currently the web is the news, or more to the point how to make money out of it. Today's Guardian gave an intersting insight into how the music world is coping with none stars making a fortune and real stars not making very much in this article;

Another thing I shall do is repost some stuff here from the previous two years worth of festivals to keep you informed and to help you understand what SXSW is all about as I will be going there a week today. Originally they where posted on Myspace but alas not eveyrone has access to that hence why my blog appears here.
